WORK LOCATION: CLSDS Aquatic Complex, 2205 TERRY-FOX AVENUE A/S LAVAL AQUATIC COMPLEX H7T 2T8
- Ensures the safety of users at all times;
- Teaches an activity program;
- Ensures the safety of users at all times within the pool area and its surroundings;
- Enforces the pool regulations;
- Maintains discipline;
- Assists in organizing and facilitating activities at the pool;
- Collaborates on maintenance work;
- Ensures that equipment and the site are kept in good condition;
- Protects the city's movable property and that of the public;
- Ensures that the various required reports are completed;
- Submits a report to their immediate supervisor regarding any anomalies observed;
- Provides first aid and executes received directives in case of serious injuries;
- Calls the police in cases of vandalism, theft, and incidents that justify it;
- The tasks and responsibilities listed above do not constitute an exhaustive and limiting statement of the tasks to be performed by the holder of this position.
- Must have completed the following valid certificate: National Lifeguard issued by the Lifesaving Society
AND
- Depending on the course taught, one or more of the following certificates:
- Qualified swimming instructor (Lifesaving Society) and/or;
- Qualified Lifeguard Instructor + Lifeguard Instructor and/or;
- Qualified National Lifeguard Instructor.
